One of Ford’s most historic full-size SUVs is continuing to turn heads throughout Canada. Built with an eye-catching design that boasts authentic comfort and style as well as an athletic lifestyle, the 2020 Ford Explorer also offers a large, comfortable interior that will keep your family content no matter where you venture.
Built to Make an Impression
New from the ground up, the latest Ford Explorer is continuing to make a lasting impression thanks to a dynamic redesign that includes the appearance of a Range Rover, thanks to a less boxy style and an all new angled roof, signature headlamps and distinctive LED lighting in the front and rear as well as a strong and athletic look that features a bold grille that blends utility with driving performance. Also available on the all-new Ford Explorer ST are 21-inch aluminum wheels and red-painted calipers, unique leather micro-perforated seating surfaces and City Silver accent stitching.
Capable to Take on Anything
Like past Ford Explorer models, the 2020 Ford Explorer can take on almost anything with even more power than ever before. Powered by either a 2.3-litre EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that offers up to 300 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque and a 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 that bumps up the power to 365 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque. Thanks to the added power, the towing capacity for the all-new Ford Explorer is also higher than most. In fact, the 2020 Ford Explorer offers up to 5,600 lbs. of towing capacity, which is 600 lbs. more than the competition. Building on standard AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control this SUV also offers standard trailer sway control and selective braking that adjusts engine power to maintain trailer control even when towing loads as large as 5,600 lbs. Sidewind stabilization also helps counteract heavy wind conditions during these difficult Canadian winters. The Terrain Management System can also help tackle any adventure thanks to seven selectable drive modes that even makes traveling on slick snow covered roads easier.
Comforting Interior for Family Fun
Along with added power and capability, the all-new Ford Explorer also receives an upgrade in the interior. Providing up to 2,483 litres of cargo space as well as heated seating for up to seven passengers with tri-zone climate control that lets you personalize the comfort level in all three-rows. Plus, a 10.1-inch centre touchscreen with built-in navigation and Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Advanced Safety Technology
Built-in advanced safety technology is where the all-new Ford Explorer really shines. Along with Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 driver-assistance tech, which includes blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist, this Ford SUV also includes adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree surround camera for safer parking and reverse driving as well as forward collision warning with dynamic brake support.
