Exterior styling
The way the Mustang looks has to be its number one attribute, surely? This current sixth-generation model was unveiled as long ago as 2013 and went on sale as a 2015 model year. Performance

Of course, it wouldn’t really be a Mustang if there wasn’t a V-8 option, and the 5.0-litre unit currently under the hood of the Mustang GT certainly fits the bill with its 460 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. But as well as being quick off the line, this latest incarnation of the mighty Ford is a great handler too, which really is a bonus, and probably one of the reasons the Mustang is now such a favourite in Europe and elsewhere these days.
Affordability
A huge part of the success of the Mustang from day 1 has been the fact it’s an affordable sports car and not one that’s out of reach of the ordinary buyer. The starting Ford Mustang price today here in Canada is extremely affordable, more than an entry-level Ford Escape. It’s unlikely anyone would consider a base Ford Escape as an extravagant purchase, but the fact you can have a Mustang for just that little bit more has to be a big part of the car’s continued success?

To accentuate the Mustang’s sports car credentials, all models now come standard with Track Apps. Track Apps allows the driver to instantly view a number of performance metrics on the instrument panel, and the information displayed can be customized to suit the driver’s preferences. The information available includes lateral and longitudinal g-forces, acceleration times, lap time, automatic and countdown starts and more.
Sporty manual transmission
